Where Manège Began
Manège began with two girls who met through a shared love of horses, fashion, and the feeling of putting on something that makes you carry yourself a little differently. Like so many riders, we have spent years around barns, lessons, shows, long summer days, freezing winter mornings, and the everyday chaos that comes with loving this sport. Somewhere along the way, we kept noticing the same thing: riding clothes were either beautiful but not always practical, or functional but missing the fit, softness, and style that made us truly excited to wear them.
We wanted to create something that brought those worlds together. A brand that feels aesthetically pleasing, but not just for the sake of looking pretty. We want to build a brand that understands riders need clothing that moves, breathes, flatters, holds up, and still makes you feel polished when you walk into the barn. We wanted pieces that could feel stylish and sculpting without being uncomfortable, and high quality without sacrificing style and comfort.
We also understand that horses are expensive, and riding is a deep privilege. Between lessons, board, shows, training, vet care, farrier bills, tack, and everything else that comes with this lifestyle, riders know the value of every dollar they spend. Because of that, we do not take it lightly when someone chooses to spend their hard-earned money on Manège. We want our pieces to feel worth it, not because of a name or a logo, but because the fabric feels beautiful, the fit makes you feel confident, and the quality lasts through rides, life, and washes.
Behind the scenes, we have been working hard to make sure our first pieces reflect that. We have been looking at fabrics, testing samples, making changes, comparing fits, and having countless conversations with real riders for valuable feedback. Some parts have been exciting, some have been frustrating, and some have taken longer than we hoped, but every step has mattered because we want to put out products that we genuinely feel proud of.
Manège is still at the beginning, but the heart of the brand is already very clear to us. We are building a brand for riders who care about how they feel in their clothes, who want pieces that are flattering and functional, and who believe riding style can be elegant without being impractical. We cannot wait for people to finally get their hands on what we have been creating.
